Sideout scoring with the standard two-servers-per-team rotation.
How does the scoring work? +
Only the serving team can score. Tap won rally on whichever team won the rally:
- Server wins → +1 point, same server keeps serving.
- Server #1 loses → no point, server number bumps to 2.
- Server #2 loses → no point, sideout to the other team (starts at server 1).
The state machine handles all of this for you — just tap the winning side.
What about the first-service exception? +
The team serving first in a brand-new game gets only ONE server — they start at server #2 and side out immediately when they lose a rally. After that first sideout, the standard machine takes over.
I need to change who is serving +
Tap Adjust Options → Change serve. You get four buttons (Server 1 / Server 2 for each team) so you can land on the exact state.
I scored on the wrong team +
Tap ↺ Undo last on the main page. It rewinds both the score and the server state to where you were one rally ago. Tap it again to keep going back.
Adjusting the score directly +
Tap Adjust Options → Adjust score. Set the totals you want for each team and Save. Saved as a correction event so undo still works after it.
Switching ends — can I swap the team names? +
Yes. Adjust Options → Swap team names. The scores stay attached to their original team — only the name moves to the other side. That way the leader's number visually moves with their name.
How do I rename a team? +
Adjust Options → Team names → Rename. Change the name and Save. Updates everywhere instantly.
Can I score from an Apple Watch? +
Yes. Paddle-sport games work on the watch app, so you can keep score right on the court without pulling out your phone. Pair the watch to the game, tap the winning side, and it syncs everywhere.
Can I show the score on an iPad or TV? +
Yes. Open the TV view for a fullscreen scoreboard, ideal for an iPad propped on the sideline or a TV at the club. Tap Share → TV view inside the game.
