Apple Watch
Pair, score, and keep the screen on. Tap any question to expand.
How do I pair the watch to a game? +
The admin generates a 4-character code on the web app — open the game, go to Everything else → Watch code → Generate. Type that code on the watch once.
That's the whole pairing. The PIN is never needed on the watch.
Keeping the screen on during a game +
By default, Apple Watch dims the screen after a short period of inactivity. To keep ScoreMyGames visible while you're scoring, you can change the screen timeout for just this app — other apps won't be affected.
On your Apple Watch:
- Open Settings
- Tap General
- Tap Wake Screen
- Scroll down to Return to Clock
- Scroll down to the list of apps and tap ScoreMyGames
- Select Custom and choose your preferred duration
We recommend selecting the longest available option so the score stays visible between rallies.
Does the code expire? +
No timed expiry. The code stays valid as long as the game is active. When you start a new session (the "Continue" button after completing), the same code automatically transfers to the new game — no re-pairing needed.
The code becomes invalid only if the admin revokes it or if the game is archived.
What if I lose or revoke the code? +
Open the game on the web, go to Everything else → Watch code → Regenerate. The old code stops working immediately. Enter the new code on the watch.
Will the iPad/TV view update when I score from the watch? +
Yes — scores broadcast live to every connected device. The big TV view, phone scorers, and any other watches paired to the same game all see the change within a second.
Which games work with the watch? +
Team-sport games: paddle-sport, volleyball, and the generic team-game mode. Card games are scored on the web only for now.
