Cribbage

A two-player, face-to-face pegging board. Peg to 121, track the crib, and log the winner into your match standings.

How do I start a Cribbage game? +

Cribbage is a Match Tracker variant. On the New page, tap Cribbage (or create a New Match and set the Game Type to Cribbage), add exactly two players, and start. A Cribbage Board button appears on the match page — tap it to open the pegging board.

Cribbage is currently available to beta testers.

The face-to-face board +

The board fills the screen, split into two colored halves — one for each player, sitting across a phone on the table. The top half is rotated so it reads right-side-up to the player facing you. Each half has its own score, keypad, and controls.

Can we each peg from our own phone? +

Yes. Once your opponent has claimed their player spot (in the app, tap the dashed circle next to their name and show them the QR code or send the claim link), the match appears in their own game list and they can open the board on their device.

Both boards stay in sync in real time, so either phone can sit on the table as the board while each player pegs their own points.

Adding points (and fixing mistakes) +

Each half has a quick-add pad: +1 / +2 / +5 stage points, then Confirm applies them. The staged amount shows on the Confirm button before you commit.

Mis-scored? The -1 / -2 / -5 row stages a subtraction the same way — stage the correction and Confirm applies the net. A player’s total never drops below 0 or exceeds 121.

The peg track and the skunk line +

Between the two halves are two long peg lines, one per player, with a colored peg that moves from 0 (left) to 121 (right) as the score climbs. The S mark is the skunk line at 90.

A skunk is when the winner reaches 121 while the loser is still at or under 90 — it is worth 2 match points instead of 1.

Whose crib is it? +

The Crib indicator between the lines shows who currently has the crib. Tap it to pass the crib to the other player after each hand. When you start a new game, the crib automatically alternates to the other player.

Colors and history +

Open the gear (settings) to change each player’s color (red, blue, or green — the two players can’t share one) and to review the History of this game’s score entries. You can delete an entry to fix a mistake; the total recomputes.

Winning and recording the match +

When a player crosses 121, the keypads lock and a win screen appears with the final score. Tap Record Winner to log the win (1 point, or 2 for a skunk) into the Match Tracker’s standings — it becomes Match Recorded once saved.

Tap Start New Game to play again (the crib alternates), or Go to Home to leave.

Does the pegging affect my match standings? +

No. The pegging (the 0–121 race) lives inside the Cribbage Board only. Your Match Tracker’s standings count wins — each recorded game adds 1 (or 2 for a skunk) to the winner. The individual pegs never show up as match points.
