Hot Streak is a party betting game by Big Potato Games for 9+ players. You play 3 rounds; in each one the four mascots — Bear 🐻, Hotdog 🌭, Fish 🐟, and Queen 👑 — race to the finish line. Players bet on who'll win, plus a yes/no side bet for a wild card event.
1. Set up the game
- The admin starts a new game and picks a pot tier ($18, $60, $300, or $3,000 race pot — plus a side pot of the same size).
- The admin chooses whether picks are hidden (no peeking until everyone locks in) or live (everyone sees every pick instantly).
- Players join by scanning the QR code or typing the 6-character PIN at scoremy.games/hotstreak.
2. Each round
- Pick one mascot you think will win the race.
- Pick Yes or No on the round's side bet card (a wild-card event like "two mascots finish on the same space").
- Lock your bets in. Once everyone's locked, the admin runs the actual race on the board, then enters the 🥇 / 🥈 / 🥉 finishing order + the side-bet outcome.
3. Payouts
- Race winnings depend on where your mascot finished: 1st pot for 1st-place pickers, 2nd pot for 2nd, 3rd pot for 3rd. Players who picked the 4th-place mascot get nothing.
- Each pot is split evenly among the players whose mascot finished there, rounded down. If nobody picked a place, that pot is lost — no rollover.
- Side bet pot splits among everyone who called the side bet correctly.
4. Round 3 — Doubling
- In the final round, each player must double one of their two bets (mascot or side).
- Doubling multiplies your personal share for that slot by 2. It does NOT change the pot total — only your slice.
5. The reveal
- After round 3 resolves, the game flips to a celebration screen. The admin steps through the standings lowest to highest, building suspense.
- The winner gets the gold lane, a ⭐, and a confetti shower. Drum roll please.
Tips for the admin
- You can mark the side-bet outcome mid-round if the event happens before the race ends.
- Lock joining once the table is set so randoms can't drop in mid-game.
- "Same Crew, New Race" at the end keeps the player list so you can run back-to-back games without re-typing names.
